When I’m on holiday I always try to reduce the amount of time spent online but scrolling through the Instagram feed while laying down on the beach is what I call ‘a low impact online activity’. And it boosts my creative thinking.
Instagram is an endless source of inspiration. I also met many insta-pals there and the great thing is that some of them became real-life friends.
I follow many artists and photographers that create beautiful content (not necessarily linked to the interior design industry) and I thought to share 6 of my favorites with you.
The following Instagram accounts will instantly give you a Summer infusion.
Instagram accounts for instant Summer infusion: @teresacfreitas
I love her work! It’s been years since I started following Teresa Freitas on Instagram. You need to know that I’m a fan of surreal photography and collages (follow my Pinterest board on the topic) and Teresa, especially at the beginning, created a lot of surreal, bizarre photos.
Her style changed over the years with her photos being now pastel-tinted and a bit detached from reality. I still love her take on photography and her aesthetic. Here below some of her summery images: they are a feast for the eyes!

Costas Spathis‘ account is one of my most recent discoveries. Costas is a Greek architect and photographer who specialises in aerial photography. I fell in love with his captures the second I landed on his account.
His photos are minimalist and always have a geometric pattern. Costas leaves nothing to chance: he studies the composition in every single detail before capturing a scene. And the results are really beautiful… Check for yourself!
Instagram accounts for instant Summer infusion: @graymalin
The first photo by Gray Malin that captured my attention was depicting two llamas with super colored balloons in the Salar the Uyuni. The colors were amazing and I discovered that this series of photos didn’t have any post production work.
Gray Malin photography is playful and unexpected and always makes me smile. I’m sure you’ll find his Instagram feed as gorgeous as I do.
Instagram accounts for instant Summer infusion: @mattcrump
Matt Crump made me discover the #candyminimal movement some years ago. Matt’s candy-minimal photography means candy-colored photos of architectures, billboards, doors, ferris wheels. His Instagram feed is a cheerful destination if you are looking for bright. happy imagery.

Everyday objects become surreal compositions in Paul Fuentes digital artworks. Their art is new pop art, it’s playful and ironic and the creamy pastel colors always put you in a good mood. I never get tired of scrolling through his feed and I suspect you’ll be soon agreeing with me!
Instagram accounts for instant Summer infusion: @maria.svarbova
You say Maria Svarbova and immediately think about her series dedicated to old swimming pools. Her photos play with symmetry and show public architectures from a particular point of view.
She mixes the old with the new, playing with the saturation of colors and always adding an element of surrealism. As I told you at the beginning, I love surreal imagery and Maria Svarbova couldn’t miss in this Instagram selection.
