Home tours. A London home bursting with colors
Color friends out there, this home tour is definitely for you! Get inspired by this joyful, London house where every inch is covered in bright, well-thought color hues.
It’s a place that injects instant happiness and I found it just perfect to celebrate June, the Pride month. June is painted with the colors of the rainbow and so it’s the home of Geraldine Tan, editor of the award-winning blog Little Big Bell where she shares her passion for vibrant colors and interior decoration.

Before starting the home tour, if you have a beautiful home you want to see featured here, drop me a line at valeria@crescenzi.ch or tag me on Instagram so I can have a sneak peek into your place. You could be the next in line to be interviewed.
Let’s get back to our new home tour. Read on and discover a cheerful Victorian house where bright colors buoy our spirits!
What is the story behind your house?
I live in a Victorian house in London. I love period features in homes, so seek to preserve it, but also update with colors and modernity, that’s still in keeping with the original style of the house.

How would you describe your style?
It’s all about happiness and colours. «I’ve always been an advocate of decorating light and colourful, and it is even more important now. As we spend more time at home, the feel of optimism is ever more pertinent for our mental wellbeing», says Geraldine in one of her most recent posts. I couldn’t agree with her more.

Colors do not clash. They vibrate.

Your home is bursting with colours: how did you come up with the idea of creating such a colourful home?
I’ve always loved colours, so it just happened naturally.
Color is energy made visible
-Ingrid Fetell Lee-
What is the room you love the most and why?
My living room with the coral pink sofa because I love the Victorian period features of that space. I love mixing old and new and of course the vibrant colours there that makes me feel happy.

What are your favorite furniture brands?
Pappelina, Sofa workshop, and John Lewis and partners.

Any special tip for design lovers who want to create a happy, colourful home such as yours?

«Bright colors operate like a stimulant, a shot of caffeine for the eyes», says Ingrid Fetell Lee in her book «Joyful» and I couldn’t agree more. Are you brave as Geraldine with colors? I’d love to hear your impressions on this happy London home.
